New pug housebreaking tales reveal
all the insider secrets you could ever
Our house has been turned upside down by our bundle of fun, our new pug puppy arrival, we are crazy about her.She is 8 wks. old and her name is Madison. The trouble we are having with her is the dreaded housebreaking.
It is not unusual for pugs to have days that they do real good and then its like she is mad at us for something and that is how she is getting back at us. She hates spending any amount of time by herself and gets quite upset when we go to work
Our little pug has days that she whines, goes to the door and the whole nine yards. If she wants 100% attention she sprints across to her doggy pad as fast as her little legs will carry her, it is hysterical to watch
Every book and training method possible has been used to try and housetrain her but not always with the success we were expecting. Then there are days like yesterday where she won't go to the door or the puppy pad.Sometimes we take her out and she does nothing and waits until she comes back inside, but because we love her so much we just grin and bear it, we know we will sort it out at some stage, we know it isn't her fault but probably our training methods which are rubbish
We took her to the vet for a check up thinking maybe she had worms as pug dogs do get worms --negative on that.We do give her the odd little snack or treat, call it what you will but it really lights up her face and it is so worth seeing her smile
I thought I came across an article recently that claimed that puppies are notorious for forgetting everything they have learned. We usually take her out every hour sometimes less if she has consumed a lot of water.
She manages to last eight to ten hours depending on how long she sleeps for,A few weeks ago I left the door open so she could go to the toilet on her pug dog pad but that was a failure.Just the other day a pair of my husbands trousers were on the floor and she decided that would be a great place to go to the toilet, he wasn't impressed
Our angel isn't spanked, or yelled at for her accidents just told no no and then took outside. What can we do to remedy this.Does she get confused by us taking her outside as well as giving her the option of the pooch pad.I cant imagine what we have done wrong so that she is so confused. Please give us some input. What can we do to set her on the straight and narrow so that she is properly housetrained.
